Sharing West Coast Life

The grandparents arrived today at noon from Way Back East (my Dad always said he'd retire from the military to BC but then married a woman who teaches at a college in Ontario....). The children were so excited all morning at swimming class, leaping from the van as soon as I opened the door and running to greet Nana and Papa. It was really nice because last visit the boys were stand-offish.

I can't wait for my Dad and his wife to come with us to the boys' swimming lessons tomorrow. It will help distract baby girl from trying to hurl herself into the water with her brothers every few minutes (I'm ever optimistic) and they get to see this beautiful landscape and share it with their enthusiastic grandchildren. Maybe they'll fall in love with our temperate summer weather and gorgeous views - enough to move here when they're retired. You don't have to shovel rain you know....
