I know my husband loves me! He bought tickets for us to take our boys to see Great Big Sea, a wonderful folk-rock band from Newfoundland. My children and I listen to them constantly, both at home and in the van. The boys belt out "Captain Kidd" and "Run, Runaway" and countless other songs. My baby girl warbles "Bye....bye..." as she joins the rest of us in singing along with the "River Driver."
My husband's musical tastes are less folky than mine, however, and these five tickets (great seats! great seats!) are a real splurge. But he knows how much we enjoy the songs and energy of Great Big Sea. He knows our very musical son is *very* fond of this band and will no doubt be enraptured at this all ages concert in December (we'll leave baby girl with friends - too late for her and no doubt a bit too loud).
