It's a Wonderful Life with Boys

We've had a snowed-in, quiet, family-oriented Christmas as half the family is down with cough and cold. Happily the three boys have all declared this year to be "the best Christmas ever" so I guess my husband and I have done all right despite our fever chills and low energy.

Movie nights have been fun now that they're older and we all enjoyed popcorn and the Jimmy Stewart classic, It's a Wonderful Life the other night. Even our toddler girl stayed quiet and cuddly during the film, but that may have been more due to her cold and fever than to the enduring quality of this Christmas classic.

It's always funny to see where thoughts go with the boys. As we paused the movie to explain how when the main character sees how life was when he wasn't around to make a difference in his own way, how everyone makes a difference and so on, our oldest boy announced proudly (and without any intent to be funny - he was totally serious): "I know how I'm special! My talent is for armpit farts!"
