Finished and....she likes it!!

I recently took up knitting again after years away from the needles and wool. It's been really nice and relaxing and the kids are all getting interested, too. The boys are still working on their scarves, started in the summer. A row here, a row there. It's all good.

Jeff, a good friend and avid knitter who puts me to shame he is so incredibly talented, introduced me to http://www.knitty.com/ - what a great place for free patterns and excellent tips, advice, and information about knitting. I found a pattern for a little girl's skirt there: http://www.knitty.com/ISSUEspring07/PATTmickey.html

It's done! The pattern is essentially six rows repeated over and over so it was perfect to keep me busy in the evenings and as time permitted during the day without worry over losing my spot or otherwise getting confused and muddled. I opted for the easy way out with multi-coloured wool rather than two different colours. The skirt is nice and thick and warm and my baby girl loves it! It looks very cute and will wear well I think.
